An insider view of restricted business travel
Zaina Gohou, fashion and technology entrepreneur, documents her insights into the difficulties of being a business traveller during COVID crisis. Gohou feared that her career would be on the line; she remarked that her workload became more demanding as more countries lifted travel bans and were quarantined between every job. Travelling through Corsica, Madrid, and Croatia, her careful attention to detail and preparation helped ease her concerns. Gohou, who consistently tested negative, conquered the art of travel safety. Her preparation routine includes stocking up sanitation supplies and keeping up-to-date with news and regulations. Bringing the exemplary slogan of making the most out of every situation, Gohou believed the quarantine was a blessing in disguise. It slowed life down and allowed more room for reflection and healthy lifestyle changes.
The European Commission’s plan for co-ordinated travel measures
On October 13, the EU Foreign Ministers of Affairs proposed a set of measures which will control travel flow in Europe to minimise COVID-19 risk. The goal of the proposal is to balance freedom of movement for EU citizens and ensure continuity for businesses and services. Establishing new common criteria to detect COVID-19 infection risk in each country and region, it uses colour mapping and risk evaluation to better anticipate outbreaks and put responsive action into place. ROLZO is extremely dedicated to upholding the best of customer standards, abiding COVID-19 regulations and retaining intimate on-the-road experiences. Passengers flying from Heathrow to Hong Kong and Italy on Tuesday will be the very first of people to gain access to paying for a rapid COVID test before checking in. The test uses rapid saliva swab and is available at Terminals 2 and 5.
David Evans, chief executive of Collinson, which runs the testing initiative, remarked that the process will help give people the confidence to travel because the flights would be “Covid-secure”. I have every confidence that the ATB arrangement can come to fruition very soon to facilitate the resumption of air travel between our two economies.”Edward Yau, Hong Kong’s Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development
